PE SCHEDULE OPTIONS FOR 2026/27

Physical Education

A part of the TEMPO curriculum

This program offers students an opportunity to enhance their physical fitness, motor skills, cooperative behaviours, leadership, and teamwork. Students will receive instruction using skill based lesson plans culminating in modified games.

PE 1-4

  • Classes are scheduled during Blocks 1-5 (between 8:10 am and 2:10 pm)

PE 5

  • Program runs full year

  • Duration: One (1) hour in Block 6 (2:20-3:20 pm)

  • Options are: Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays

PE 6

  • Program runs full year

  • Duration: One (1) hour in Block 6 (2:20-3:20 pm)

  • Options are: Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays

PE 7

  • Program runs full year

  • Duration: One (1) hour in Block 6 (2:20-3:20 pm)

  • Options are: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays

PE 8

  • Program runs full year OR semester 1 OR semester 2

  • Duration:

    • Full year - One (1) hour in Block 6 (2:20-3:20 pm)

    • S1 or S2 - Two (2) hours in Blocks 6 & 7 (2:20-4:20 pm)

  • Options are:

    • Full year - Mondays or Fridays

    • S1 or S2 - Thursdays

PE 9

  • Program runs full year OR semester 1 OR semester 2

  • Duration:

    • Full year - One (1) hour in Block 6 (2:20-3:20 pm)

    • S1 or S2 - Two (2) hours in Blocks 6 & 7 (2:20-4:20 pm)

  • Options are:

    • Full year - Mondays or Fridays

    • S1 or S2 - Thursdays

PE 10, 20, 30

  • Registration open to students entering grade 10 (+)

  • Option 1: Full year program, Thursdays, two hours

  • Option 2: August Intensive (Aug 13-26, 2026), 10 days

  • PE10 is mandatory and needs to be taken in student's grade 10 year

  • Students are expected to take the PE course that corresponds with their grade. All grade 10 students should be enrolled in PE 10 during their grade 10 school year, participating grade 11 students in PE 20 during their grade 11 school year and participating grade 12 students in PE 30 during their grade 12 school year.

  • PE20 and PE30 are optional and do not need to be taken at TEMPO

  • PE 30 students enrolled in August Intensive will automatically be enrolled in the full-year program in order to receive credit in PE 30

  • Fees are collected at the time of registration

  • Fees will be refunded when AB Ed credit is awarded (in June)


PE 5-12 Details

  • PE registration for full year and semester programs are done in June

  • All classes fill on a first-come basis

  • Students must wear PE uniform to school on their scheduled PE day

  • PE uniforms must be purchased through Top Marks

  • Full year and S1 PE begins week of September 8

  • S2 PE begins week of January 26

  • No classes during the week of Nov 10-14

  • No classes before Christmas Break (Dec 15-19)

  • No classes Last Week of School (June 1-5)

PE 5-12 Change Request

  • Change requests are dependent on availability before start of program
