Tempo School Uniform Guidelines
All students must wear the school uniform as set out in school agenda (below). There are a number of reasons for wearing a school uniform. In part, as an academic school, the uniform is intended to focus our students’ attention on the pursuit of excellence in their schoolwork rather than on the pursuit of the latest fashion. In part, the uniform helps to reinforce the identity of the school and the attitudes and orientation that the school aims to instill in its students.
The uniform alters gradually as students move up the school. All students are expected to dress modestly.
Uniforms should be clean and pressed. It is a good idea to label articles of clothing with an indelible marker.
Students MUST be wearing their full uniform when they arrive each day at school. Returning students must come in uniform from the first day onward.
Students will be sent home to get what is missing from their uniform or they will sit at the office until the missing pieces are brought to them. To avoid this from happening, the students need to be responsible to make sure they have everything from their proper shoes to their appropriate ties and shirts before entering the school. The office will no longer have ties to lend to students.
Reminder that Grade 9 students are to be wearing the new charcoal coloured pants when they come to school at the end of August.
